Food Lion (say wat??) yes, unbeatable deals to be gotten wk 3/27-4/2

*De Ja Vu warning* (if you read my Walgreens post, you'll know what I'm talking about lol)

Those of you who know me, or follow me on fb/blog, know that I don't do ->Food Lion<- lol I really just can't stand to shop there lately because the cashiers I get are rude & apparently think I am trying to take money out of their pockets because I know how to work a good deal lol. It takes a WHOLE LOT to make me go into their store lol.

This is a deal I originally heard about on KaSandra72's Youtube channel, I wanted more info so I googled the "Big Deal" at food lion & found this blogpost w another deal scenario: http://blogs.newsobserver.com/centsiblesaver/free-dish-liquid-and-cheap-pineapple-at-food-lion

So their "BIG DEAL" works like this:
Buy 10 BIG DEAL PRODUCTS and receive $5 OFF INSTANTLY
Buy 20 BIG DEAL PRODUCTS and receive $10 OFF INSTANTLY
Buy 30 BIG DEAL PRODUCTS and receive $15 OFF INSTANTLY
Here are all the products included in this promotion:
http://www.foodlion.com/Assets/Docs/BigDeal_ShopList_2013.v-2-2-4475-0.pdf

When they say 'instantly', they literally mean instantly, the register tallies up the items you purchased & will deduct the applicable amount from your total purchase, and of course you can use coupons on top of that. (one cashier told me that is considered "stacking" but it isn't, because that is an in-store promotion & didn't require any 'coupons' to get that discount off of your purchase!...this is why it is important to read up on a store coupon policy before you visit so you'll know what you can/can't do coupon-wise in their store)

I don't need anymore dish soap, so I will probably just be sticking to the Yoplait & the Dole deal, read on & then RUN like the dickens to your nearest Food Lion while they still may have stock (this deal is good through Tuesday tho, fyi).

So here are the deals, in the order that I'd do it to make the 'oop' as low as possible, because you'd be "rolling" the catalinas into the next deal:

Yoplait
Buy 20 Yoplait @ $.60each = $12.00
"Big Deal" promo                     -10.00
Use a combination of the following available coupons:

                                                                  Pay $2.98 + tax (or use your $2 catalina & pay $.98 +tax)**get $3 catalina**((FREE))~~~~~~~

                                                                               $2.50 + tax

or if you don't have any (or as many dole q's) use your $3 sunlight catalina & pay $2+tax)
 **get $.75 catalina**

Couponing with Food Lion:
*No doubled coupons EVER
*1 coupon per item period (no stacking)
*They have e-cpns via RedPlum that can be added on their website, but idk if they can be combined with paper coupons together?,

*They have a blue coupon machine at the front of the store, majority of them will be store coupons (these expire the day you print them), but there are also some manufacturer coupons (these have a longer expiration date on them so you can hold onto these, just be mindful of the dates).
   - You can only scan your card 1x per day, period. Regardless of what Food Lion you go to, the machine remembers you lol

411 on the Rite Aid Wellness+ Program

For every dollar you spend at Rite Aid, you earn a 'point' towards their Wellness+ Program.

Everyone is automatically started at the basic level but it gives you the discounted store prices that you see in their weekly ad, 'Load to Card' (e-coupons), Register Rewards (these track like CVS, so you don't have to knock out an entire deal at once, you can do it little by little if you want & it will print your progress at the bottom of your receipt), 2/7 access to a pharmacist &/or chat with a Rite Aid rep online for assistance.

The next level up is Bronze 250pts (you move up to a new level according to the amount of points that you earn).
->you still get all the same benefits, BUT you get 10% off on all Rite Aid brand items & a 10% off shopping pass.

Then Silver (500pts)
-> same benefits, but now you get 10% EVERYTHING in the store (sale, non-sale & clearance items)
->Free health & wellness reward at 500pts

The highest level you can reach is *Gold* (1,000pts)
-> same benefits but now you get 20% EVERYTHING in their store.
****

Here is a chart breakdown from their website of the levels/rewards that you can earn as a Wellness+ member:

You can sign up for Rite Aid's Wellness + Program in the store & receive your card while you are there, OR from their website at this link: https://www.riteaid.com/wellness

All of the details regarding this program can be seen here: https://www.riteaid.com/wellness/limitation-details
~~~~~~~~~~~
As mentioned in a previous blog, you can do "Video Values" where you watch a short ad for a product & 'earn' a store coupon for it. These come available at the first of each month & actually don't expire until the beginning-mid of the following month. You are only able to print 1 of each coupon, so make sure you printer is acting right before you hit print or you lose it. These Video Value coupons can be stacked with an in-ad coupon, a manufacturer coupon AND an e-cpn.
You can get rainchecks for items that aren't available during that sales ad. I just learned earlier this week, that when a raincheck is issued, the cashier must scan your Wellness Card in order for you to still get the Up rewards. Their rainchecks are printed from the register & comes off on receipt paper (I will attach an example of a raincheck I had just to give you an idea, it's incorrect though because she didn't scan my Wellness card to attach the Up rewards & the rewards also weren't mentioned on it).
->When you redeem your raincheck your Ups should print with the rest on the bottom of your receipt because it is triggered between the raincheck & your wellness card when you purchase that item..
                    **Be advised that they EXPIRE 30days from the issue date**
*Receipts-you will notice that the coupons used will print underneath the item/brand that you purchased, this includes the 'load2card coupons', manufacturer coupons, and video value coupons...I'm not sure if the store ad coupons show there as well, sorry guys I'm still learning too lol.
Rite Aid often has monthly deals, which means you have the entire month to work on that promotion to earn the Up's for it. Be mindful of the 'limit', you don't want to attempt to do the deal twice if there is a limit of 1, because you won't get the Up's for it.
Their weekly ad has tons of Up reward opportunities, some of these also have limits, so be mindful when doing those deals as well.
Your Wellness card:
-will track all of your purchases, so it knows how much you have spent &/or if you have already reached the limit on a deal, so be sure to scan your card to not only receive items at sales prices, but also to help you keep up with what deals you've done so far & to see your progress in each deal
-Gives you the option of receiving your "Up" rewards printed on your receipt OR automatically loading to your card.
**As a couponer, I strongly recommend you just letting them print out on your receipt, that way you can control when, where, how, why & what it's applied to. (Ex: I bought 2 Poise products & $5.98 in rewards loaded to my card. I did the Bayer meter deal the following day & the $5.98 automatically came off on that purchase....this wasn't good because the meter was $9.99 & I had a store coupon for that meter for $10, so I wasn't able to use the coupon. HOWEVER, the cashier was able to cancel the transaction & I went & grabbed something else to add into the order so I can use the rewards AND the coupon).
-Will automatically PRINT your Up's on the bottom of your receipt unless you either go online or call customer service & have it changed to load to your card instead.
-Has a Rite Aid app that can be installed on your phone that gives you quick access to all thing Rite Aid
*you can 'clip' & 'unclip' coupons to your Rite Aid card (an AWESOME thing about their load 2 card coupons, is that once you have used one, you can go back in & add it to your card again if it is still available!)
*see what level you are at & how many points you currently have
*find a rite aid store near you
*view your wellness card (in case you forget your card, the cashier can scan your wellness card from your phone)
*Transfer/refill prescriptions
*View weekly ad
*Take a picture AND/or send a photo order to the store for pick up
**Once you are registered & log in to Rite Aid's website, you will see that it also:
-tracks your points & level
-tracks how much you have saved  through the weekly sales ad discounts, as well as how many Up's you have received!
-You can only CLIP coupons to your card, you can't remove it at this time (so the app is a more convenient way for you to make changes on there).
-Should you choose the option of 'load2card' for your Up's, you are able to see those as well, both online & on the app.
**Coupons (of course refer to their actual coupon policy: https://www.riteaid.com/customer-support/coupon-acceptance-policy
Here are some important things to take note & be aware of:
*You cannot use a b1g1fq on a b1g1f store promo/sale. You CAN however, use a coupon on each item that is b1g1 50% off (a b1g1f q cannot be used on this either)
*Multiple coupons can be used on one item (see my earlier notes in the upper part of this post in the Video Value info)
**UP's Rewards:
- can be used on any non-prescription purchase,the exclusions are listed on the UP's
-apply to your transaction amount BEFORE tax. (the only way it MAY knock out some of your tax amount is if you give them to the cashier prior to any other coupons that you have. But I would only suggest doing so on a carefully planned out transaction so that you don't use too much of the Up rewards, which would result in you not being able to use the coupons if the balance is too low.
->Example: Using the current Schick deal, let's say I plan on buying 2 Schick Hydro Silk @ 12.49 ($ 24.98), I have 2-$4/1 in-ad store coupons & 2-$4/1 manufacturer coupons I will be using ($16 total in coupons): 24.98-16.00=$8.98 (before tax), if you have $8 in Up's you can plan on giving that upfront, and THEN after the cashier scans them, hand over your store coupons. If you have a $10 Up reward you wanted to use, then just add something else to your transaction in order to use it. They will not accept an Up reward if it is higher then your transaction amount BEFORE taxes.
Ok folks, that is all I have at this time. Hope this helps. If you have any further questions, don't be afraid to ask! If I don't know the answer, I will do my best to find out!
'Wags' AKA Walgreens Cottonelle (Cheapie) & Mt Dew KickStart (freebie) deal wk 3/24-3/30
If you follow me on my fb page or know me at all, you know very well that I don't do too much at Walgreens, their policy & rewards program is a bit much for me to grasp or bother with to be honest. But I heard about this deal & decided to give it a shot, I needed to re-up my toilet paper stockpile anyways lol.
The store has a sale on Cottonelle, spend $15, get 3,000pts (every 1,000 pts is equal to $1, once you hit 5,000pts, you have $5 that you can either apply to your transaction AT the register OR choose to save it & add points onto it). There are printable coupons $1/1 12pk Cottonelle toilet paper OR Flushable wipes. The 12pk toilet paper is priced at $5ea, so I got 3 pks of TP=$15, used 3 $1/1 coupon, so I paid $12+tax for 3 rolls, got 3,000 ($3) added to my rewards card & also received a $3 catalina coupon (this is a coupon directly from the manufacturer that prints from the catalina coupon machine at the register AFTER you complete your transaction, do NOT throw these away, this is actual $ to use towards anything on your next transaction!) So I technically only paid $9 for 3 12pks of toilet paper.
A freebie this week is the Mt Dew KickStart energy drink, with your rewards card it rings up for $.99 & after you pay you get a $.99 register reward back=FREE.
In case you are interested in shopping Walgreens w their reward program, or maybe you already are & don't really understand it...here is all I really know about it, I'm sorry I can't get into too-too much detail because I don't shop there alot. Here are the main things:
1. They have in-ad coupons on their weekly sales ads
2. They have store coupons in various sections of the store: Vitamins, foot care, cold & flu, beauty, pediatric medicines, diabetes products, etc, etc.
3. Their rewards program works in 2 different ways...
     a) You earn points that eventually turn into money you can use at the register once you save enough
     b) You can earn "register rewards" (much like a catalina, BUT if you plan to purchase multiple products to get multiple rewards on the same brand/product, they have to be done in seperate transactions AND they should NOT be used on the same product or it nullifies the register reward you would be getting on the transaction you redeemed a register reward on.
-->Ex: If I went back to buy more Cottonelle toilet paper, I could use that $3 register reward on that same product to discount my total BUT I wouldn't get the $3 register reward because it's the same manufacturer, it HAS to be a different manufacturer so it doesn't void out the new register reward.
**VERY IMPORTANT!! Register Rewards count as a "manufacturer coupon"**
4. You can 'stack' 2 coupons per item (1 store coupon & 1 manufacturer coupon) BUT, you have to have the same amount of items in your order as coupons.
Example: If I buy 1 pk of Cottonelle toilet paper, I can use a $1/1 manufacturer coupon AND the $3 Register reward on it, but i need to add something to my order (gum, candy, etc aka 'filler') or the register will not accept it. So yes, I can use 2 coupons on that one product BUT I need something else so I can use both of those coupons.
5. Another note on the Register rewards, they have to be redeemed in the increments they were earned or you will LOSE $, below is the tier in which you can earn/redeem:
Redeem for rewards. 5,000 points = $5 reward
**note that the more points you earn, the higher the value is, but as you go up each tier, you don't need as many points in between values...1st tier=5,000 points earns u $5, 2nd=5,000 more pts to get $10 ($5 more $)... 8,000 more pts for $20 ($10 more $)...12,000 more pts to get $35 ($25 more $) & finally 10,000 more pts to reach $50  ($10 more dollars) hope that makes sense.
ONE MORE THING on Register Rewards (And I'm done, I promise! lol), these can be used at Harris Teeter on your transaction, because they accept 'competitor coupons', so should you not care to go back to Walgreens before that Register Reward expires, use it on your groceries! That's what I will be doing lol.
Make sure to scan your rewards card (regardless of what store you shop at) to make sure you are getting the sales price/poss benefits of purchasing that item!
Rite Aid deals 3-24-3/30
Hello there! Here is a breakdown on the deals that I mentioned last night, in case you are interested in gettin some Rite Aid in!
**Please be aware that if you don't have any Up rewards yet, or maybe you don't have that many...that just like any other store rewards program, you have invest $ into the store to get store $ back to use. In the end it's worth it, because I completely encourage & share deals that allow you to 'roll' those rewards (meaning, purchase things that will replace the rewards that you use, so you come oop-out of pocket as LITTLE as possible)...the possibilities really are endless with these rewards programs, so I do always say to not only LEARN & PRINT the Store Coupon Policies as well as study up on the programs so you know how it works because you WILL encounter employess that are clueless on how coupons & their own store rewards programs work. I am still learning myself, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask away!
