I personally carry my binder with me everywhere that I go, literally. It's either ALWAYS in my car so it'll be available at any given/needed time, I even take it in to work with me & sit it on the floor at my desk because there is a Harris Teeter within walking distance from my job (I also HEART HT on that note!)
Anywho, when I first starting couponing, I actually started with the accordion file method thingy, where you just put your inserts ccording to date, & pull as you need them. Well I had to base all of my shopping off of what everyone else got & that got me ZERO trips/coupon use. After much thought I stepped up to your basic 1.5" binder & started from there. As my coupon stash grew, I had to buy another binder, and another binder & well u get the point right? lol. Those binders worke pretty good too, but I got to the point to where I was tired of having to hold the binder in my arms & carrying it carefully because the coupons would slide out & I'd have to stop & put them back & the pages would just be all over the place. So, then I bought a Five Star binder that zipped up all the way around & well, that worked good too, but when I got too many coupons in there it was WAY too bulgy, so I needed another upgrade. I discovered the wonderful world of Case-it from a friend/co-worker when I saw his I knew I had to get one too lol, this is a binder like no other! This binder has 2 sets of 3-rings inside, each side is 1.5" (so let's just say 3" for technicality sake), it zips up all the way around just like the Five Star, but this baby has a handle AND a strap! Also inside of the binder, there is an inside flap on the left side to store papers or ads or whatever u want, and it has a pencil bag, and other cool areas for you to stash stuff. I stash a calculator, notepad (for my store madness when I am caclulating my transaction to the last penny lol), paperclips to seperate transactions/coupons, etc. It's just totally amazing to me! I just wish I found this in the beginning so I wouldn't have bought so many other binders lol (but then again, I'd prob think it was being overboard as a beginner to couponing lol)
I am posting pix of my baby "Blue" so you can get a visual of it. Another thing I love about "Case*It" is the company in general. I noticed a 'flaw' in where my binder rings would be open when I unzip it & I emailed them to inquire about it & they asked me a little info, got the manufacturing info from that binder & mailed me a BRAND SPANKING NEW one @ n/c, they didn't even want my old one back...this is a company that clearly takes pride in making sure a product that you purchase from them is working at it's full potential! (I found this out thanks to my friend @ Deals Can Be A Dime A Dozen please check out her blog, she is a beast at couponing at several stores & we share & compare deals all the time! While on their website, I noticed that they actually have a binder that caters to us (couponers), I just didn't want to put anymore money into a binder at the moment, but if you are binder shopping, def check out their website & look at this binder, it's pretty awesome: http://www.caseit.com/couponcentral

There is also a Spring special mentioned too, where if you buy a binder and another item, your grounding shipping is FREE! Case-It also lets you customize your binder: color scheme, adding a logo/name, etc (this costs a little extra, but if you are a hardcord binder believer like me then you want to LOVE your binder right? lol)
There is a small zipper on the top of your binder, a full size sheet will not fit here, I don't really use this pocket

What the binder looks like when closed (sorry for my shoe being in the picture, I was trying to give you a view of the zipper portion of it)

What you see when you first open the binder. There is a pocket sleeve on the left & a net like pocket to store various things. The numbered Category list that you see if how I organize my binder thanks to The Krazy Coupon lady: http://thekrazycouponlady.com/2010/09/24/how-to-start-your-coupon-binder-this-ones-for-you-kathie-lee/

The very middle of the binder, note that there are 2 sets of 3rings (1.5"ea). The black parts that you see are strapped down with velcro & hold your pages in place & make it easier to close your binder, as well as allows you to store things you will be using (see below), it also has a pencil pouch.
*
I moved the pencil pouch out of the way so you can see them in action, the left side has a zipper slot for storing things, as well as a see through netted area. The right said has a spot big enough to store a calculator in & a small zipper slot at the bottom (I keep my paper clips there). Both sides have a netted slot area on the back of what you see here.

This is how it looks when it's opened, the sheet that says "Cold medicine" is from the Binder Catergory Print outs I got from The Krazy Coupon Lady website & helps you stay organized & makes shopping SO MUCH EASIER!
